Terms of Service – SportConnect

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User”, “you”) and the SportConnect development team (“SportConnect”, “we”, “us”), governing your access to and use of the SportConnect mobile application and related services at sportconnects.org (“App”). By registering an account or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App.
Users under 18 require the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
By verifying your phone number via OTP you represent that the number belongs to you and all information provided is accurate and current.

2 Account Registration & Security

2.1 Account Creation

You must register using a valid mobile phone number. A one-time password (OTP) will be sent to that number via Firebase Authentication (Google LLC) to verify your identity.

2.2 Security

You are solely responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
Notify us immediately at support@sportconnects.org if you suspect unauthorised access.
SportConnect is not liable for loss arising from your failure to safeguard your credentials.

2.3 One Account per Person

Creating duplicate accounts to circumvent restrictions or bans is prohibited and may result in permanent suspension of all associated accounts.

3 Court Bookings

3.1 Nature

SportConnect connects users with sports venues. We are not the operator, owner, or manager of any listed venue. The contract for use of a court is between you and the venue directly.

3.2 Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellation policies are set by each venue and shown at booking time.
SportConnect is not responsible for refunds from venue-side cancellations.

3.3 No-Shows

Repeated no-shows (confirmed bookings not attended and not cancelled in advance) may result in temporary suspension of booking privileges.

4 User Conduct

Violation of any rule below may result in immediate account suspension or permanent termination.

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Vietnamese or international law
Harass, threaten, defame, or abuse other users, venue staff, or SportConnect personnel
Post false, misleading, or fraudulent reviews, listings, or content
Impersonate another person or entity
Attempt unauthorised access to the App, its servers, or databases
Scrape or extract data using automated means without written consent
Introduce malware or malicious code into the App or its infrastructure
Make fraudulent bookings you have no intention of honouring
Resell or commercially exploit App features without our written authorisation

5 User-Generated Content

By submitting reviews, photos, or other content you grant SportConnect a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, display, and distribute that content within the App. You warrant the content does not infringe third-party rights, is truthful, and contains no unlawful material.

We reserve the right to remove User Content at our sole discretion without notice.

6 Account Suspension & Termination

6.1 Termination by You

You may delete your account at any time via account settings. Deletion triggers personal data removal as described in our Privacy Policy.

6.2 Termination by SportConnect

We may suspend or permanently terminate your account, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, engage in fraud, cause harm to other users or venues, or if required by law.

6.3 Effect of Termination

Your right to use the App ceases immediately upon termination. Sections 8–12 survive termination.

7 Payments

Certain bookings may require payment in Vietnamese Dong (VND). We do not store full card details; payments are processed by PCI-DSS–compliant processors. Refund eligibility is governed by each venue’s cancellation policy.

8 Intellectual Property

All software, design, trademarks, and content comprising the App are the exclusive property of SportConnect or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes only. No copying, modification, or distribution without prior written consent.

9 Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.

SportConnect does not warrant uninterrupted availability, that venue information is always accurate, or that venues meet any particular quality standard. Use of any venue is at your own risk.

10 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Vietnamese law, SportConnect shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Total aggregate liability shall not exceed the greater of: (a) amounts paid by you in the prior 12 months, or (b) VND 500,000.

11 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SportConnect and its team from any claims, losses, and expenses arising from: (a) your use of the App; (b) your content; (c) your breach of these Terms; or (d) your violation of third-party rights.

12 Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Disputes shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation; if unresolved within 30 days, they shall be submitted to the competent courts of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

13 Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified in-app. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
